COOKED PLAYDOUGH RECIPE

Materials and Equipment Needed:
saucepan, measuring cups, measuring spoons, stirring spoon, stove
1-cup water
1-cup flower
1/2 cup salt
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
food coloring (mix into water)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in saucepan and turn stove burner to medium heat. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture leaves the side of the pan and forms a ball. Remove the play dough from the pan while being careful not to burn your hands. Place the play dough on the counter and and knead until smooth. Add flour if it is too sticky. Your play dough is ready to provide you with loads of excitement once it cools or is just slightly warm. After use, keep in an air tight container. It should last several weeks if stored in this manner.
